“Art pushed to its outer limit: absurd, daring, sweet and hilariously disturbing” THE AGE
With a past as tortured as his French accent, the Belgian demi-god of love, J’stan DuPont (aka: Matthew Grant) muses and sings as he explores LOVE GONE HORRIBLY WRONG. Together with the 4 piece jazz band, The Inbred Dead, under the baton of Caleb Garfinkel and a plethora of guests including the sorceress of silliness, Dolly Diamond (aka: Michael Dalton), HONEY POT offers an evening of frivolous musical fun and thought provoking nonsense.

It’s Benny Hill goes Carl Yung replete with show tunes.

“For those who like their cabaret to be downright dirty and thoroughly compelling” INPRESS

Special Guests -Dolly Diamond | Avery the Owl | Diana Emry

We are currently closed – reopening soon!

Melbourne, Australia’s cultural capital, has more venues, boutique restaurants, cafes, bars and cabaret dens per head of population than any other city. Is there room for another arts venue in a thriving metropolis already spoiled for choice?

“HELL YES” says Matthew Grant, Green Room Award winner and the man who conceived and foundered Melbourne’s premier cabaret venue, The Butterfly Club.Matthew Grant is the founder of KaDo (pronounced ‘car-dough’) and is preparing to launch this unique venue onto the Melbourne scene.

KaDo is ready to bloom.

Located in the heart of the former Cremorne Pleasure Gardens of Richmond (1853-1863), KaDo celebrates those heady days of Melbourne’s Gold Rush era, when diggers were on the hunt for a bit of fun and flocked to Richmond, the original down and dirty home of burlesque, cabaret and music-hall in Melbourne.

“Art pushed to its outer limit: absurd, daring, sweet and hilariously
disturbing” THE AGE

KaDo offers punters quality food and beverage service alongside cabaret shows and art exhibitions in an exclusive – without being elitist – jewel of an ever evolving venue.

Uncle Ivan’s Shop at KaDo retails a broad range of ye olde merchandise from the collection of a couple of Aussie Horders.Uncle Ivan and Aunty Betty
owned and ran country hotels from the 1940’s –
1970’s. Whilst a great deal of their collection adorns KaDo, there’s another 70 shipping containers to be unpacked and sold off.Be patient with us as we fine tune the venue over May & June in preparation for our grand opening in July.

Likewise, our website, www.kado.com.au is in the throngs of an overhaul; a new booking system, new design and easy access to all our digital resources, will be available soon.

Uncle Ivan’s Shop is almost ready to OPEN. Pop in and have a look around. Click Here to learn more about Uncle Ivan’s Emporium
